Mrs. Kuhl received her teaching degree from SVSU. She taught early grades for several years in a Christian school before becoming a stay-at-home-mom. She and her husband, Mike, have three children. The Kuhls serve as Children's Ministry Directors at Elkton Missionary Church. 

Mr. Faupel holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Saginaw Valley State University, with endorsements in Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics. He has been teaching at Cross Lutheran School since 2010.

Mrs. Barry holds a B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University. She has taught  at Cross Lutheran School for over 30 years.  She still has a lot of energy, loves to read aloud to her students, and still has her red hair!

Mrs. Brown earned her teaching degree from MSU.  She worked at the Tuscola ISD for 10 years.  She and her husband, Eric, have three boys and live in the Cass City area. 


Our Staff​​

Ms. Moore graduated from Southfield High School in Southfield, Michigan.  Since then she has worked as a safety and compliance manager for a trucking firm and managed a floor covering business.

Sarah has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from CMU. She has 22 years of experience in the childcare field, including 11 as the Director of Sonshine Kids Daycare in Bad Axe.

Mrs. Hass graduated with a teaching degree from Western Michigan University.  During her career she taught at Bad Axe, Lakers, Harbor Beach, and Swan Valley.  After retirement, she started a tutorial service, working with children one-on-one in her home. In 2014, she began working at Cross Lutheran under Title I funding.

Ms. Kunisch graduated from USA High School in Sebewaing. Since then she has worked for Active Industries in Sebewaing, Thrivent Financial, Mutual Savings, and Independent Bank.

Mrs. Ward received her teaching degree from Spring Arbor University and taught for several years in California. She and her husband, Dustin, have three children.  They attend Elkton Missionary Church.

Mrs. Elston holds a B.A. and a Lutheran Teacher Diploma from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI. She also earned an Elementary Endorsement through graduate work at SVSU.
