"Thumb"thing Big is Going On is our theme for this year. As children of God, we know we are "Thumb"thing special.
In religion we will be "Walking With God and His People". Can you guess who will be on the journey with us? You can be sure we'll learn about "Thumb"body special!
We are going to think like geographers, historians, economists, and social scientists as we study the Thumb, Michigan, and the US. We sure live "Thumb"place special!
"Light and Sound" is the unit we are currently studying in science. Our county has implemented the Battle Creek Area Math and Science Center kits through a grant from DTE. The science kit program is great!
We visit Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care monthly. The residents are looking forward to us spending time there monthly. They love our singing, laughing, visits, crafts, and hugs!
As you can see, this year, "Thumb"thing big is going on!
Spelling list for week of January 30-Feb.3 is Unit 4 Lesson 2. (Third Grade---#15. is likable.)
GWYNNE BARRY holds a B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University. This school year begins her 30th year teaching at Cross Lutheran School. She still has a lot of energy, loves to read aloud to her students, and still has her red hair!
